I think that ellen should have just stole a boat and took off. I mean really its not that hard, im not gonna say how lol, because i dont know. i think annemarie shouldnt be so curious like just asking what was in the coffin it was really stupid! the nazis could have been looking!
ohmigosh the part were the girls were in there bed and the soilders came was so freaky I thought for sure that they would be caught. And Annemarie did some quick thinking when she relized Ellen was still wearing the necklace. Thank goodness the girls were not caught. In the morning the girls went to there uncles house for the day was pretty surprising amd the part werre the soilder asked if it was there new year was apretty good way to find out if they were jewish or not. It was so scary when they found aunt birta dead on the ground. yikes! I wonder what will happen next
Ohmigosh! This book is getting great at first I thought it was gonna be really boring but it's not. I love it that they get to go to Henrik's farm and it was hilarious when kirsti named the cat Thor God of Thuder. It was really shocking to read that Ellen had never been so close to the water before seeing how Denmark is surrounded by that. When Annemarie sadi that there was two little swedish girls staring strait across the sea at them just as they did it was really deep and made you think about how they felt even more.
If you think about it it's probally better they didn't hide because if they did the when the soldiers searched the house they would find Ellen and obviously think she was Jewish.

So what are your thoughts about the book? Is it something youd recomend?
I hate books in general, people see the meaning even if there isnt one, thats why we should all stick with TV!
