The book is awesome! I thought it was so cute haow Anton jumped out of hideing, wanting to save Patty. That is true frienship. Why do you think Patty's dad acts so cruel and then talks to himself about no one loveing him for his entire life? Was a whipping even leagal back then? It can't belegal now.

I like this book to i think they have a sweet not only friendship but love. how could andyone wip a child with the metal side of the belt its horible! i dont think it is leagal. her family doesnt really care for patty it is really sad. and even when anton found out she was jewish he didnt care he still liked her but asked why she would risk so much to hide him... it is suck a sweet story and it is interesting because everyone is talking about how anton escaped from prison. what the weird thing is she got a job as a reporter and her first job is to find out what happend to anton!

does patty ask her grandparents for money? y does sharons father ignor her and her sister?why does ruth have to stay at home while the family goes on a trip?dont u think should cook on the trip?does anton love patty

i agree with you but at the end i also think anton will be free and thats all he really wants..... just freedom which is not to much to ask considering how harmless he is being
now mrs. smith will know that heaven you might get introuble. you should start reading dude its a good book especially because it is a book that a teacher picked which usually arnt that good im glad im in this group
