This section of the book is scary! Iwas so frightened when Patty was talking to the sheriff! I'm supprised a sheriff couldn't get Patty to tell the truth. I still am curious to see if Patty will ever see Anton again. I think the father is very dishonest because he wont tell his own wife what's going on with him.
Do you think will do something really bad because her dad is meen to her? Anton secretly lives with patty right or no? I Wonder if sharon knows about anton and his relation ship with patty? Is ruth a good cook? What types of book does patty like?
Ok I think it is soo romantic that Anton kissed her!!!! Then he gave her 20 carrot gold ring I would like start to cry :( wouldn't you? It was his most valued possession. When I was crying and I went through a whole box of tissues (I know chessy right) This is such a good book whats you favorite part out of the whole book?
This book is intresting I like it alot. It is really romantic. Like when Anton kissed her! and he loves her enough that he gave her a 20k gorld ring. It his most prized possetion because it has been passed down to him generation after generation. I feel bad for Patty because Anton had to leave her and he was the one person who thought she was a person of value. Patty always thought she was a nobody, wassn't loved and that she was ugly. But the weird thing is that she is only 12 and Anton is 20 its awkward but sweet.
I know that part with the sherif was kind of scary because he could have gotten to tell her the truth but Patty is good at that. Although he was nice because he made her father give back the ring. i think the sherif is more fatherley then he real dad. Her dad is just plain mean he yells, slaps her, and wips her with the metal side of the belt! SYDNEY ROX:D
Actually, Patty thought she was fine. Her mom thought she was ugly and her dad thought she was worthless and that she treated her badly. Her dad seems like he needs anger managment.

Example Response
John Smith: Wow! I am so interested in this book. Could you imagine being orphaned at our age and having to be able to survive on our own? Crispin has no other relatives to take him in, and it sounds like he is not very accepted in his village. I wonder why John Aycliff is after him? Life was so different during this time period. People could be killed for doing what we consider very minor things. Life sure was difficult. I am curious to know what you guys think about this book. Do you think Crispin will stay in Stromford or run away? How will he escape John Aycliff?

WHATS GOINg on with him?
Patty likes to read the dictionary. Sharon doesn't know. Anton is gone. Ruth is a good cook. I think she will do something bad.
