For Freedom is a good book and im kind of surprized that they still have miki the cat. I like miki hes the most awsome cat ever. Suzanne is a really good singer shes been in so many orpras and shes lead almost all of them. Dont forget about the fact of how well she is at being a spy, she sends about 6 messages a day! Suzanne just cant get a break in life.
1st response: I think this part of the book has a lot of action! Because, towards the begging of the part, Suzanne "stabbed" herself. Then Suzanne and Madame Marcelle hide from the germans...(I can't tell you why right now because I just asked that question) :)
I think that For Freedom is a really good book. This book makes me think once i get done with a chapter. My favorite part in this WHOLE book is when Suzanne got done with her Carmen performance and her brother gave her flowers. Yea I wonder where her brother got the flowers from. By just guessing I think he got the flowers from either the market or someone else. I have some questions.. 1. Why do you guys think that they still have Miki? 2. Whats the best part of the whole book? 3.Do you think that they will get their piano back? And when?
The most scary part of the book is when she did her first message run, and met that old woman there. How do you think Suzanne felt when she did her first message run for Dr. Leclerc?
I think they took away fun because they dont want anybody to be happy or anything like that. I mean come on think about it what if another country came and took fun from us.. What would you do? What could you do?
I know Weston.. I didn't mean to say that twice... I think they still have miki becaus the germans don't know about it...(thats a hard question, because by now, the germans would have probably taken the cat...) And like Weston, my favorite part is when Suzanne becomes a spy..(because it has more action.) i dont think they will get their piano back becaus ehte germans probably took it and smashed it or something.. but if they do get their piano back, the i think they'll get it back close to the end.. like in the last few chapters.
Think sbout this you guys... Germany came and took over America, and your doctor asked you to work for them as a spy and you had to send messages. Would you do it, and why?
same here weston.. and i think Suzanne felt very scared.. like in the book she was thinking she was going to get caught. then she told herself not to panic.. in the last part she had to deliver a message to a lady i think it was #7, and there were two people "praying" so she dropped her hanky and then she said, "dang thats the 22nd time!" then #7 went to her and said i know i hate it! (#7)
Each week, you will be required to respond to the section of reading you have completed. Include questions, reactions, favorite parts, etc. You then must respond to what each of your other lit circle members wrote as well. Be sure to provide possible answers to your team members’ questions. Ask them questions about their reactions to the reading. Have fun!
Example Response
John Smith: Wow! I am so interested in this book. Could you imagine being orphaned at our age and having to be able to survive on our own? Crispin has no other relatives to take him in, and it sounds like he is not very accepted in his village. I wonder why John Aycliff is after him? Life was so different during this time period. People could be killed for doing what we consider very minor things. Life sure was difficult. I am curious to know what you guys think about this book. Do you think Crispin will stay in Stromford or run away? How will he escape John Aycliff?

To Weston: they took the fun away from people because... (in Mr. Fraizer's words: their mean, cruel, and heartless)
i dont think that thet will get their pieano back any time soon

well, they took away the fun because, well they're not really making sure that everyone is happy because they are EVIL!!!
good point
I think they took away fun because they dont want anybody to be happy or anything like that. I mean come on think about it what if another country came and took fun from us.. What would you do? What could you do?

I'm already finished with the book!:)
we are almost done with the book and its really exciting!
I think and know it ends well, so don't be worried about suzanne! if she died she would never have been able to recount her story!
The people who did not finish the book. What do you think the ending will be like?
