This book is so exciting! I can't believe what happened in the end. I would be happy to be home, but I would be so surprised that is I was Hannah, to find out that Rivka was my aunt! Did you expect this ending at all? I guess I did, but not entirely. This book is really good.
Hey, I thought The Devil's Arithmetic was really good. I really thought that it was real. Not a dream. If there was a second The Devil's Arithmetic, I would love to read it. But I guess it would also be sad.
This book overall is a 6 out of ten. I liked it but i wasn't hooked to it. It was scary when hannah died i thought. But she went back to her normal time. I didnt think it would end up being a dream. So i guess i liked it.
Evan, actually you didn't tell us, you were confused in the beginning and she thought it was a dream so you did too, but you didn't actually tell us it was dream.
Maybe, I don't think it was THE best out of all of them though. I've read Number the Stars before, and it was really good. Maybe better, but maybe not.
I think the blogging experience was great! I love typing and I can get my feelings out faster, and we don't have to talk over each other like if we were just in a group talking. I have had lots of other blogging things like this before too. I love it!!!
Each week, you will be required to respond to the section of reading you have completed. Include questions, reactions, favorite parts, etc. You then must respond to what each of your other lit circle members wrote as well. Be sure to provide possible answers to your team members’ questions. Ask them questions about their reactions to the reading. Have fun!
Example Response
John Smith: Wow! I am so interested in this book. Could you imagine being orphaned at our age and having to be able to survive on our own? Crispin has no other relatives to take him in, and it sounds like he is not very accepted in his village. I wonder why John Aycliff is after him? Life was so different during this time period. People could be killed for doing what we consider very minor things. Life sure was difficult. I am curious to know what you guys think about this book. Do you think Crispin will stay in Stromford or run away? How will he escape John Aycliff?

Sorry, I meant to say, "that if I was Hannah..."

Yeah, I would be REALLY surprised to find out Rivka was my Aunt.I would be like... WHOAH!
I know! I thought she actually did go back in time! Everything was so vivid, to her and to me.
Me too. I wonder why she was called Rivka though.
That would be a one heck of a dream to dream something like that! She probably had something interesting to eat/drink before she fell asleep.

Hahaha, yeah, if she did eat/drink something weird, it would've had to be strong!
Overall I didn't like the book very much. It was pretty boring. Except for a few parts. But HA!! I told you it was a dream!! >:P
Yeah Liam, it was pretty interesting and very... unuasual... nothing like I ever read before.
Ummm, ok Evan, but how did you think it was boring? It was really exciting!
It definitely was a very good book to read. I would recommend it to anyone.
I guess you were right.
I mean Evan was right...
Evan, actually you didn't tell us, you were confused in the beginning and she thought it was a dream so you did too, but you didn't actually tell us it was dream.
I probably would have wanted to read this book then any other book. This was probably the best choice of book.
Yeah, my dad might like the book, he likes these kinds.
I guess no one really knew if it was time travel or a dream.
Not really. I mean it was the same thing over and over. You just knew a lot of people were gonna die, so it wasn't surprising when someone did.
Maybe, I don't think it was THE best out of all of them though. I've read Number the Stars before, and it was really good. Maybe better, but maybe not.
You have to know that some people were going to die. I mean it was about WWII and 6 million Jews died, so you have to expect that.
Yeah I guess so, does anyone know when were returning our books?
Nope, sorry. Why do you want to know? Anyway, we should talk about our book.
What was your favorite part out of the whole book? Why or Why not?
I*f you were Hannah, would you have guessed that Rivka was at least someone you knew?
Sorry, your right... well I guess she was brave in her dream. I have never had a dream that crazy before.
I don't know what my favorite part was, I liked the whole thing. If any one part was not there, the book wouldn't be a whole.
Neither have I, Kate. If I did have a dream like that, I would be scared and more confident too though.
I think it was a good experience.
I liked the blogging.Sorta. I don't know I just don't really mind it at all.
Well maybe. I might get that feeling inside my head that says, Hey don't I know that person?
Im glad we did because.... because we got to spend time typing and if we talked, some of us would just wander off and not pay attention.

Yeah, I agree with Kate.
