This book is very interesting in my opinion. Can you imagine being at a normal dinner, and everything is fine? Then you go to open the door, symbollically openeing it for the prophet Elijah just likie normal. When you open the door, you get transported in time and you don't even know it! And to pile onto that, you find out that your parents have died from some sort of disease! What would you have done if you were in Hannah's situation?
I thought Hannah was a girl with a tough life. Grandpa Will was very, interesting. I wonder if he will ever be... regular and forget all about the concentration camp. Hannah is still probably shook up from the visit. Granpa Dan sounds very nice and fun. Nothing like Grandpa Will.
Nice point Kate! I didn't even think about that! I am sure though that Grandpa Will has his reasons, I mean if you had to go to the concentration camp, it would be very tough.
I think this book is intresting. It is kind of boring but the beginning is always like that. It makes me think what it was actually like in the halacoust. The time travel part really confuses me. But overall i think this book is ok.
In answer to my question, I would have no idea what to do if I all of a sudden was in a different time!!?? I mean, I would be clueless! Then finding out my parents died? I mean come on!
Yeah, most of the people probably died, and I would rather die the suffering the pain in concentration camp. It must of been really harsh on Grandpa Will!
So far i think the book is pretty good. i dont really get where she started dreaming if it really is a dream. its sort of hard to follow i guess at the beginning

Example Response
John Smith: Wow! I am so interested in this book. Could you imagine being orphaned at our age and having to be able to survive on our own? Crispin has no other relatives to take him in, and it sounds like he is not very accepted in his village. I wonder why John Aycliff is after him? Life was so different during this time period. People could be killed for doing what we consider very minor things. Life sure was difficult. I am curious to know what you guys think about this book. Do you think Crispin will stay in Stromford or run away? How will he escape John Aycliff?

That would be pretty sad and scary to be in her shoes. Having my parents die would be terrible!

I would freak out if my parents died! I would have no where to go, (maybe my friends house) and my little sister would cry all day and all night.
She wasn't dreaming Evan. She got transported through time and she thinks it is a dream but it's not!
